The StormForce™ DP Series from Loewen takes the performance of our standard product line a step further, offering you windows and doors that have been structurally enhanced for coastal environments and lakefront applications. These windows and doors meet – and exceed – the requirements outlined by the International Residential Code for safer coastal living and are proven to protect.

Engineered with resilient, beautiful Douglas Fir, the DP Series offers an aesthetic that will work to enhance your home’s design – without unsightly retainer clips or brackets. Loewen offers finishing options in traditional clear wood exterior, primed wood or choose from our Metal Clad Color Spectrum of 36 extruded aluminum colors.

SINGLE HUNG WINDOW

  • Engineered Douglas Fir with the choice of extruded aluminum cladding, primed wood or clear fir exterior.
  • Retains the Tilt Sash feature of the standard Double Hung window.
  • Interlock system and aluminum sill block details enhance the structural integrity of the window.
  • Flexible bulb weather seal is relocated to the sill stop for optimal performance.
  • Designed to comply with southeastern U.S. building codes – meticulously designed to maintain the Loewen aesthetic.

FRENCH / TERRACE DOOR

  • Engineered Douglas Fir with the choice of extruded aluminum cladding, primed wood or clear fir exterior.
  • Utilizes five-point stainless steel locking system, stainless steel strike plates and a sturdy astragal for superior impact performance.
  • Three inch sill enhances protection against water infiltration.
  • Designed to comply with southeastern U.S. building codes – meticulously designed to maintain the Loewen aesthetic.

TERRACE / FRENCH DOOR
HEAD AND SILL SHOOT BOLT

Handle-activated stainless steel head and sill shoot bolts are standard with DP series upgrade (TD1/TD2/FD2). Additional lock points increase structural air/water performance and provide added security.

CASEMENT WINDOW
CONCEALED SNUBBER

Sturdy concealed snubbers add structural strength to hinge side of window. Additional lock points improve overall air/water performance and security.

SINGLE HUNG WINDOW
ENHANCED SILL

Aluminum sill block improves overall structural performance of the window, and a three inch sill enhances protection against water infiltration.
